Please give a critique of this photo

Unfortunatly there is a copyright statement right over the picture which is more than distracting. On the other hand this is a great shot that you have titled very appropriately. This is a very closely cropped shot that gives a sense of intimacy.

Nice enough composition...however, I would like the eyes sharper...much sharper. The blown out areas around the muzzle have a complete loss of detail and are distracting. I can sypathize with wanting to protect your work, but the watermark is a bit overkill...

{Sigh.....} The placement of the copyrighted info is very original.

The copyright notice ruins it, but the photo is merely average anyway.

There are far better methods of placing a watermark or copyright notice. In any case, a 450 x 321 pixel snapshot is not that likely to be stolen.

 

As to the photo, it has too many blown spots and probably needed more DOF on the face.
