emotive 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Very cozy. Did you try the shot with something in the glass? Cheers, George Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Click the start button to hear the third movement of my original composition, "New Mexico Sonata". If you don't have Quick Time Player, you'll need to download it first by clicking here. I've tried to select an appropriate original music composition to accompany this image. Thanks to CHiPs for showing me how to embed music. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Great composition & effect, winter is coming soon, ha ha ha... Ken, :0) Best regards. Link to comment
randall paul 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Nice Mood. I would of tried to slightly illuminate the label of the bottle and bounce that off to the glass with either red or white wine in it to give it a sense of being there and to show preferrably a ruby red glow in the glass. Otherwise Nice shot! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Very impressed with the Sonata. Sort of has a Copland feel to it, I think. Oh yes, I like the image. Nice warm feel. Not sure it goes with the Sonata. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Perfect combo of image and music. The image itself stands alone easily with the right composition, interesting subject, and the warm tone that makes us all feeling nice and cozy. Pour us all a glass, will ya? Gotta hand it to CHiPs for the tech-savy, sharing guy that he is! ^_^ Link to comment
chips2 0 Posted October 7, 2005 You capture the space in the fire place well. With a warm lighting ,you set the perfect mood for this image. Ken, I see a second glass on the right & the bottle is empty ;-) Cheers Link to comment

home page1 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Pnina and any other interested parties, to hear all four movements of the sonata, go to my personal website by clicking here. It's a short sonata, totaling about 10 minutes for all four movements. I'd love to have feedback on the music. The sonata is a departure from most of my jazz-based compositions. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Ken, Loved your sonata, played it three times: sweet. fluctuating like a soft scarf of notes, perfect for this fine image. I thought I'd add a glimpse of outside... Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Lovely photographic and music composition. I find myself swaying with my eyes closed, seeing the notes as they slip by! Beautiful work:) I listened to all your compositions, they are really wonderful. I love classical music, I think because it makes my brain work a little differently. My kids & husband have never shared my love of Classical music, they just tolerate it. I liken it to reading, it is just another way of sending information to the brain. And a very pleasant way at that. Nice....really nice. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 9, 2005 Ken, could not hear the music - sorry! but the photo has a Vivaldi 'Winter; 2nd movement look about it (without the raindrops). regards Colin Link to comment
