bpearl 0 Posted October 6, 2005 interesting space to be in, though could be improved with a camera angle - the backs of people can block the action... really. if you've hear dof the 'shooting-around-it' technique, it's a good practice for street photography - move around your subject, don't hide from it... great location though - go back! sarabella 0 Posted October 6, 2005 I really like snapshots that capture human exchanges. I feel that there is not enough detail here, the orientation is weird and the cropping seems ineffective. I can understand wanting to show the environment, but cutting off their legs is too distracting. I think you had a very good eye for catching the moment and recognizing the potential, but might want to work on your camera techniques. Link to comment
graham boyd 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Katt, Sara: Thank you both for you comments. I appreciate what you are saying and pretty much agree. Just have not gotten to that level yet. It's tough to get close to a scene like that without changing everything. I sort of know these guys and this was shot from the doorway and cropped. I will try it again if the opportunity presents itself. Sara, not sure I see a problem with cutting the legs off in the crop, but I will give it more thought. Link to comment
