I think your background is to flashy and compete's with your model, althought the background may be great for reflecting light from a different angle- IMHO ~ GT

Sorry, not to respond more quickly. As for the lights, there is no direction to the lighting on her face. It is just "flat" lighting. With some stronger direction the image would take on more dimension. The model is too close to the background. If you moved her away, the light would not be so intense on the background, it would be darker, and the wrinkles would not be as in focus.
