tom t 0 Posted September 25, 2005 Very wel done, good composition, nice use of B/W and god use of DOF. I have tried shooting matches but never got this far. I have no suggestions for improvement, Tom Link to comment
albertdarmali 1 Posted September 25, 2005 Thanks for the comment. the black and white was a printed black pattern (square) of A4 paper. Glad that I didn't waste the black ink for nothing. :) Albert. Link to comment

albertdarmali 1 Posted October 26, 2005 Thanks for the input David. You know what, I've been looking at this picture, and have this unsatisfied feeling that it seems like the matches need more details, more texture or something but I just can't do anything else in terms of details because they are like that in real life. (not much details in the wooden sticks part; I think it's because it's made from some sort of softer wooden material or something, that's why they don't leave much pattern) Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted December 9, 2007 So eye-catching with its simplicity. The red is so striking against the B/W. You made an artistic presentation of a simple subject & it pops up from your excellent framing. Very good work. ( you have a most interesting portfolio, esp your abstract.) Link to comment
