davidroossien 0 Posted October 5, 2005 It's so interesting to see the bottom of the pond through only the largest shadow. Well seen. I do wish there was more tonal change in the water (it all looks bright white), but it doesn't change the impact. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,133 Posted October 7, 2005 Thanks David, I'm going to Michigan this coming week. I'll try to make it to Petosky to see your photos on display. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted January 21, 2008 A super shot you have here that was well seen and captured. I am always a bit leery about empty spaces in my own images and I think I see one here in the bottom of the image. In my humble opinion, a crop eliminating the bottom third would give the image more 'punch' This is an artistic consideration with no right or wrong ways - you have to decide what you like. Hoping it is Ok with you but I will do a crop and you can decide whether to stick with your original or some other version. PS I also applied Photoshop CS shadow highlight command to the image for some subtle changes. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,133 Posted January 21, 2008 I see what you mean Tom, I think I may like yours a little better than mine. There's a large blown out area on the center foreground & you did a good job of cropping it out, Thanks for the time spent. I appreciate it Link to comment
