rluck 0 Posted September 10, 2005 I cannot stop looking at the details...I would give you a 10/10.The problem is now, to stay at this high level - I will wait for your next photos.Thank you for this shot.Reimo Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Well, this shot inspired me to go check out your portfolio, but I guess this IS your portfolio. Can't wait to see more as this is the best pic I've seen in awhile on PN. Contrast and tones look great and the composition is excellent. The only thing I can see to correct is that I find the white in the lower left to be a bit blown out but I don't know what I would do with it. Perhaps a tighter crop would help, but it might kill the picture. Anyway, it's a quibble in an almost perfect shot. Link to comment
chris hughes 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Wow. I usually don't like the long exposure approach to water. I feel like it removes the "water-ness" from the look and replaces it with something closer to smoke or fog. In this case though, it's really fantastic. And by that I mean having the quality of a fantasy. The image is so finely executed, it looks like an airbrush illustration. The kind of thing you'd see in Heavy Metal or on the cover of one of the many illustration industry magazines. To top it all off, the composition is rock solid (no pun). Forms repeat and recede into the frame at just the right rate and in just the right places. 7/7. Keep up the good work! Link to comment
pdoyle 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Outstanding work! As others have already mentioned, the composition is so strong and the contrast is nice ... so is the intangible 'feeling' of the shot. Link to comment
rui_marques 0 Posted September 10, 2005 outstanding composition and technically great image, showing how to be creative on a lately "abused" subject Link to comment

luis_santos2 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Very well executed! Slow speed to let the water look like a milk. Very well framed and lighted. The choosen angle is perfect. Congratulations! Great job. Link to comment

randall ellis 2 Posted September 11, 2005 I love the monochrome feel in this color image. The simplicity of colors adds greatly to the power of the shot. You have preserved fantastic detail in the dark rocks which is set off by the silky water effect creating a very surreal image. Your composition is strong as well, with both prominent rocks moving in opposite directions and a deep depth of field. This is a very nice image, thanks for sharing it with us. - Randy Link to comment

kahkityoong 0 Posted September 12, 2005 Brilliant. The only possible criticism being that of the lower left corner being overblown as pointed out by someone else. Cropping the bottom 5-7% may improve this making it less distracting. Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted September 12, 2005 I normally find waterfall pictures bland, but this is really good. Reminds me of a chinese scroll. Link to comment
