axelg 3 Posted September 10, 2005 Classic track picture (look at my portrait on PN...), but colors and lighting are excellent, 6/5. Regards, Axel G. Link to comment
gazelle 0 Posted September 10, 2005 I'm curious how this was lit... I see two distinct light sources, but I wonder if it was flash, or if it was a sodium vapor stree lamp. I love the composition here, and the warm color of the foreground contrasts excellently with the cool background. This is really cool. :) Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted September 10, 2005 Hello Derek, this is a nice shot, the lighting is good and the colours deep and rich. I'm always pleased when I see a creastive presentation of the mundane. Best wishes. Pete Link to comment
igla 25 Posted September 12, 2005 Thank you all for your comments, I am glad that you like my work. Axel I saw your portrait- you in love with tracks :-) Justin It is two street lights. I did not use the flash. Shooter speed 15s. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted October 22, 2005 Derek, I think this is one of the better photos in your portfolio. The lighting is superb and I like the angle, close to the ground, that you chose to shoot this. Very well done. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted November 22, 2005 Superb intense colours. The lighting & exposure is excellent. Link to comment
jn02 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Great DOF, clarity and color. Taking night shots and getting sharpness like this is not fun, especially on RR tracks! Cheers, Derek Rader Link to comment
stupski 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Blue and golds are outstanding, as is your unique treatment/perspective of the tracks. When I saw the whiter light in the distance, I imagined it could be the spotlight of an oncoming train...and so on! How nice to have my imagination tickled... Link to comment
larry_korhank 0 Posted January 8, 2021 Great as is. Have you considered going back with a model? Link to comment
igla 25 Posted January 8, 2021 Hmm, that is an interesting idea. Thank you for the thought Larry. Link to comment
