I'm curious how this was lit... I see two distinct light sources, but I wonder if it was flash, or if it was a sodium vapor stree lamp. I love the composition here, and the warm color of the foreground contrasts excellently with the cool background. This is really cool. :)

It is two street lights. I did not use the flash. Shooter speed 15s.

Derek, I think this is one of the better photos in your portfolio. The lighting is superb and I like the angle, close to the ground, that you chose to shoot this. Very well done.

Superb intense colours. The lighting & exposure is excellent.

Great DOF, clarity and color. Taking night shots and getting sharpness like this is not fun, especially on RR tracks!

Blue and golds are outstanding, as is your unique treatment/perspective of the tracks. When I saw the whiter light in the distance, I imagined it could be the spotlight of an oncoming train...and so on! How nice to have my imagination tickled...
