But even Philip slips a bit toward the end when he says: "Remember when using a large or medium format camera that a given lens focal length will result in a different perspective than on a 35mm camera." michaelk Posted July 21, 2004 Share Posted July 21, 2004 I have 2 kids 6 and 4 and let me tell you trying to get good pics of them at times is very difficult. Hand holding a camera and moving around is tough, until I got my 28-135 IS. It has saved many a pics. Good price for an IS also. I also have the 50mm 1.8 II and a vivtar macro which is supposed to have good glass. My next purchase will be the 17-40L as the 18-55 I got with my Rebel dosn't cut it.
