ray_vann
Is it just me or are we having a problem with photo.net? It seems that the past couple of weeks the site has been VERY slow and today I can't seem to get past the first few of pages of "Top Photos" before is slowly grinds to a halt and freezes. I've been running all kinds of virus and spyware searches looking to see if I have a problem and have found nothing. Other sites seem to be doing just fine for me, but PN is just not moving. It's not been very fun to visit here lately. Please let me know if my situation is unique or not so that I will know whether or not to look for a computer problem. ray_vann
More specifically.... When I search for photos from the last 24 hours by rating, it begins to freeze on me aroung the ninth page. Other times and places, it is just slow. The first few pages are always pretty rapid and then it becomes sluggish and eventually stops.
gordonr
It's most likely that your browser is choking on a Jpeg produced by Photoshop 7.0 - see this earlier thread: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=003j8d There isn't an easy fix - but try changing your view (day/week etc). ken_thalheimer
Not sure it's just that particular problem. Mine was freezing up on anything involving a photo yesterday at PN
mottershead
Our logs show that the site was responsive yesterday with fast service times on almost all URL's; so I'm not sure what is going on here. Could be a network problem.
gerald_widen
I was on a lot yesterday thrughout the day and found the site to be quite responsive.
tomhallphotographycom
I have the same here. For the last week or so I am getting 7 out of 10 dropped requests or time outs. Something is not going the way it should. Maybe router problems or ...flooding of photo.net with requests? Hell I don't know but it is getting worse every single day here.
