tlsohl
Dang...Figures. I just went and spent $80 on a Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II on E-Bay, since EVERYBODY is always out of stock of the things. I just looked on B&H...They have the USA version in stock at $69.95. The grey version is still out of stock. Just an FYI for people looking...I know there's a lot of demand. funkag
They're gone again. I got one with no problem a year ago when they were plentiful - why the shortage in the last few months? Is Canon planning an update?

tlsohl
Chad, From everything I've read, this is about the best bargain in the Canon lens line, from the standpoint of sharpness for the buck. Construction is cheap, it's got a plastic mount, but the lens extremely sharp, certainly better than the 18-55mm kit lens with the Rebel. And, it also happens to be their cheapest lens. Not a bad combination.
cyn14060
There are lots of them available on e-bay. I just bought one from there for $77 a couple of weeks ago. It arrived the very day after I paid for it even.
