A&I pre-paid envelopes question

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of questions about the pre-paid envelopes for A&I

sold on B&H. 1) It says that the price includes processing, prints,

and the price for shpping it back. Does this mean that you have to

pay to ship it there (if so... how much would this cost (I live in

Massachusetts)). Also, 2) Does it matter if you have 24 or 36

exposures? Since they don't say anything I'm guessing that price

includes prints for either 24 or 36. Answers to these questions

would be greatly appreciated. Thnx

You also need to provide A&I with payment information if you need any additional services like a push. They also are now offering plastic slide mounts, but you need to add $1.00 per roll.
A&I uses cardboard mounts by default. Plastic is $1.00 extra.

It's a personal choice. I like cardboard. They're easier to write on, and some plastic mounts are thick enough to jam in projectors.

BTW, A&I has a message board on their website for questions. Some of these topics, like choice of cardboard or plastic, have come up there. The A&I staff is pretty good at responding to questions within a day or two. (Not that I'm complaining about people asking here, but the A&I staff is likely to be more accurate and thorough than random folks on photo.net!)

Brian,

For me the plastic is better. They are more durable and less bulky. The plastic mounts that A&I uses are very thin and are sandwiched very tightly. I also think plastic is also easier to take in and out of slide page pockets. The A&I mounts are also white in one side and grayish on the other, which makes determining the correct viewing side easier.
