mike_smith2
I am researching the feasability of using two Canon flash guns in "strobe" mode for flight shots in a controlled feeder set up. In order to get the necessary flash duration and a reasonable working distance reduced power settings will be required of say 1/32 power, which will need the flashes placed about 1 metre from the flightline to the feeders, and therefore some acustomisation will be required to introduce the rig slowly. I know that I will have to experiment a lot, but does anyone know if I use two EZ flashguns (connected together with the canon cords at about 45 degree angles to reduce shadow problems) whether the strobes will syncronise, that is will the flash guns fire at identical strobe rates, or will there be a differential lag? chas
If the units are hard wired there should be no lag between the two. Moreover, when multiple strobes are synced via photo slave or wireless electronic devices, the lag is imperceptible on the capture medium.
