tholte
I would like to see if anyone can bail me out of this jam. I just bought the scanner and installed the software. But like the moron I am, I manually pushed in the film holder (like your not supposed to do) and manually pulled it out. I then read that you were not supposed to do this. Now when I want to launch the utility, I get a message that says to take out the film holder. It is out so I assume that I jammed something inside, therefore the message. Any ideas? Don't waste your time telling me how stupid I am, I knew that a long time ago.
jnelas
Try turning it off, rebooting your computer, and turning it back on. I did the same thing once to my SD III and that worked it out.
tholte
JOAO, thanks for the idea but I am sad to say it did not work. I probably toasted something inside and will probably have to send back to fix which will most likely cost me as much as I paid for it. I must pay the price for stupidity. babette_ross
Tim, in a move of both grace and brilliance managed to drop my brand new minolta sd iv while walking 2 feet to the computer to hook it up the first time. I have hard wood floors. It wasn't pretty. As it turns out, i sent it off to Minolta with a good letter and they took care of it within 2 weeks (they said it would take 4) so i have nothing but the highest praises for the service/warrenty dept. Good luck.
