bhk
Hi all. Just picked up some Leitz/Leica leather boxes in rough condition. Can anyone recommend a good leather restorer that might be able to fix these cases for me? Thanks. Babar
jo_l_cahane
If you come to Paris (or have a friend there) buy CIRE 213 at the BNFBibliothèque Nationale de France. It is the finest possible product for leather designed for leather book covers !
kajabbi
Babar, There is a product called Williams Saddle Dressing made in Australia. The ingredients are beeswav and lanolin. I have taken a piece of leather, brittle enough to break and in 24 hours made it as supple as new. The only drawback is that it will slightly darken the leather. It is sold in other countries as well.
