andrew_vera
I recently purchased a Yashica-D with a Yashinon lens (not yet received it) and was wondering if a B30/Bay 1 to 52mm adapter would work without problems (obstructing the viewing lens) or should I get the 49mm version. Most of my filters are 52mm. Also, how about if I used a 52mm filter (81A) then a shade (from my Nikon 50mm lens) on the adapter? Thanks for your help. tim80
Andrew, I own a Yashica C and a 124G and use a Bay-I to 52mm with no problems. I have even been known to put a 52-55mm on there as well and still there is no light loss.
Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. I use Bay 1 to 52mm adapters on all 3 of my YashicaMats since most of my 35mm filters are 52mm or larger. 46mm on up should also work. The use of a 52mm rubber lens hood WILL partially block the lower viewing lens, but one's finger can pull it out of the way for critical work with little effort. Enjoy, Bill
