Petri-lenses on Pentax?

Greetings!

I've just started with photography. I have a Pentax ME-super with a

50mm f:2 lens, and now want a wide-angle and tele-lens.

My budget is quite tight, so i figured I'd see if my dad had some

equipment I could use.Rummaging thrugh some boxes in the attic, I

found a couple of old Petri-lenses with screw-mount. A 28mm f:2,8 and

a 135mm f:2,8 to be exact. These lenses are just want!

So my question is: Does anyone know if I can use these lenses on my

Pentax with a k-mount adapter?

Sounds like it. If these lenses are the 42mm threaded screw mount lenses (I can't imagine they are anything else) you'll need to pick up a $20 Screw lens to K-mount body adaptor.

Check the lenses closely for fungus (in the glass). Lenses left in the dark for long periods of time, especially in moist environments, can pick up this problem. The last thing you need to do is contaminate your other lenses.

With the K-mount adapter, you will need to use the lens at the stopped-down aperture while taking the photo. The adapter doesn't support the automatic diaphragm operation on the M42 lenses. For me it's a small tradeoff for being able to use my older lenses.
