Or maybe even something better or also perhaps only a pencil who knows. good luck."

cameron_sawyer
"I take it the auction is available worldwide as well? ;]" No, only in America. It seems that the scammer presumes that Americans are so stupid that no one understands German.
cameron_sawyer
By the way, it's item 2988408206 if you want to have a look. Besides the fact that he is not offering the camera, note that he's offering a "Millenium LHSA", which of course does not exist. Maybe the scammer is right about the stupidity of Americans. He's got 11 bids already!
jean_.
Just for the record, it's lousy german. Seems that the average scammer is not speaking the language of his prospect victims.
cameron_sawyer
He's doing this with a number of other auctions as well: 2988410996 2988411701 2988412078 2988409726 2988408915 2988406471 2988405641 2988404969 2988404062 You've got to hand it to the guy -- he's got some nerve. SolaresLarrave
16 bids on this one at 9:38 AM Central Time. I might have fallen, though... The LHSA allusion in the name fooled me completely. Good my Leica appetite has been satisfied!
crackers_.
High bidding activity looks impressive, but because they're being kept private they're most likely a pair dueling shills.
jerry_pfile1
And if they're not "dueling shills", the privacy of the auction prevents anyone from warning them. Jerry

karl_yik1
Shouldnt someone notify Ebay security? Or shall we just see who wins the bid?

martin_patek_strutsky
In opposite to the current offerings the user profile looks pretty clean. I guess this account has been cracked. Just informed E Bay, lets see how much time it will take them to close it down...
john_brewton
If you really want to see something interesting click on his "ID history". eBay needs to kill ALL his auctions.
moritz_nienburg
This subject is beiing discussed in the German Leica Forum of the Leica Camera AG as well. All photos of Leica Cameras and Lenses this guy uses are stolen from other current Ebay.de auctions. Regards Moritz
roy1
should we create a new ebay user/s, and bid thousands on each auction? < bR>make him do a little dance?
what do you think?
roy1
I speak 4 languages, but German is NOT one them...
what does "im top zustand und in pal." mean? are these auctions he created just to raise his feedback?

I really think we should become deadbeat bidders for once :)
steve_bauer2
And what about some of the names! The seller is "Buscemi7"! I guess they get Indie films in Germany? Oh, and he got positive feedback from Kraut Killer? My bet is that he's the anonymous current high bidder of his own auction.
billsr
The very fact that Ebay allows this clown to linger on its site should tell all of us all we need to know about Ebay. Shopping there is like seeking a bride in a brothel!
basscheffers
There isn't much wrong with eBay, it's just that you only hear about it when it does go wrong. And most people that fall for scams do so because they are stupid, like bidding on something with a description in german, when you do not speak the language. michael s.
That's how it ended. That's how all of his "Leica" auctions ended --not with a bang, but a whimper.
