jennifer_horsman
I just acquired a used Hassleblad 500C (1971 with user-changeable screen). I am learning how to use it (without a manual!) and I am trying to look it over and see if it is in good shape. I looked in the lens while the shutter was closed and noticed that one of the leaves in the shutter, namely the one on top, has a slight and very small bend in the tip. Is this normal? Will it cause problems? I have another question, but will ask in another post... Thanks, Jennifer
rick_campbell
Jennifer, It's normal. Don't worry about it. Get a manual. Quick. #1 important fact, never try to remove or replace the lens unless the body is wound and the lens is cocked. Have fun.
andreas_carl
Yes, all Hassie lenses are like that! Listen to Rick - never remove the lens unless the shutter is cocked!
