The reason is I need immediate preview on tv sets for myboard members to see before I have the chance to run images on the XP software. Thanks. mark_thomas3
? Don't you think a few more criteria might be useful? Many cameras do this, eg my Sony DSC-F717, and it is often, but not always mentioned, in reviews online. Short list the cameras that you like the look of, and then ask again, because I doubt if anyone is going to just throw a list at you.
khairul_yusuf
Does the new Canon lines A70/A80/s400 offers the feature? [unable to determine from on-line reviews]. The registered electronic and PC dealer for the company I work seems to be promoting Canon products at every opportunity to the bosses in charge. jespdj
Have a look on www.powershot.com. At least the G-series PowerShot cameras and the S50 and S45 have an "intelligent orientation sensor", that allows the camera to sense if the photo is landscape or portrait, so that the camera can rotate the image itself. Don't know about the other models, have a look at the website.
Marvin
My Canon Powershot G2 doesn't roatate the image. And by the way, I've been wondering, when the camera rotates the image or if you do this in Windows Explorer (XP) does the rotation degrade the JPEG image as it re-orients the pixels? khairul_yusuf
It does if done in XP Viewer; I've noticed a slight reduction in file size. Not sure about if done in camera.
phule
The A80, while in review mode, rotates the image automatically. If you have the video-out hooked up to the TV directly, you should see what the LCD displays.
