gary_brown2
My son (Michael Brown) just won College Photographer of the Year. check out the site at http://www.cpoy.org/58/winningimages.html. The reason I'm posting it here is that quite often throughout the years I would send him threads from this site as well as images. Despite being surrounded and occasionally using digital; the photo storys "Goodnite Athens" and "The Fight" were shot with his Leica M6. All of you can feel that you've played a role in his vision. I started routinely reading this site in 2000 and my first camera to him was a used Leica. Thanks to all of you, Share my pride!!

andy_piper2
Gary: Way cool! The OU Viscomm people must be tickled green (I got my M.S. from OU in 1985). Tell Mike to send a resume to the Rocky Mountain News in Denver (also a winning team - Pulitzers for spot news 1999/2002) - also Michael Phillips, Scripps Corporate HQ, Cincinnati (he's the editorial talent headhunter for the chain - I don't know his official title, but Larry Nighswander and the OU people will.) Where's Michael intern(ed/ing)?

john_r._fulton_jr.
Gary--Your son's work is wonderful. The cabdriver picture is simply stunning. It is a gorgeous, story-telling and unique image. You should be proud. (BTW & FWIW, I won the title in 1969.) Best, John Fulton

andrew n.bra hrefhttp
Just an aside - there's something like 2.6MB of material on that main page. Just to view thumbnails. It's a shame whoever put the www site together had absolutely no idea that there's an awful lot of people on the internet who aren't using broadband...
