michael_cohen1
I am looking to buy a Rolleiflex 2.8 TLR. Either Planar or Xenotar would be acceptable. Which bodies--C, D, E, F-- have the following features: 1. Mirror prism just below the sports finder to check focusing 2. EV interlock, like on the Rolleiflex T, so shutter speeds and apertures can be changed together to maintain a particular EV 3. accepts 120 and 220 film 4. removable WL finder, accepts prism viewfinder 5. self timer Metering is immaterial because I use a handheld meter. Thanks for your help.
bob_cook
Michael: My 2.8F, Type I (1960) Planar has the mirror prism below the sports finder; removeable hood; does not have EV interlock (at least not that I'm aware of); accepts only 120 (but can be adapted I've been told); has a self timer; will accept a prism viewfinder. andrew_schank
Only the F series and the very last E series will take the prism finder.
jerry_lehrer
Michael NONE of the listed cameras will have ALL of your required features. The closest is the 2.8F, but it does not have EVS interlock (thank God!) Jerry
nolan woodbury
Something like the 2.8E2 might suit you well Michael. Although it isn't 220 capable, it does have a removable hood and a self timer, and most (I assume) came without a meter. Should be had for a lot less than a 2.8F, while still gving the same image quality. A pal sent me a contact sheet taken with a 2.8E2/Schneider and I was blown away by the quality. He promissed me first dibs when it becomes available!
