Lens mount sizes

Hi,

I'm sorry but I cant find any previous post to this question.

Q: what are the diameters of the various Lens mount from different

manufacturer?

 

F mount:

 

old FD mount:

 

EF mount:

 

K mount:

 

M mount: ( I think its M for new pentax )

 

Minolta mounts:

 

Contax mounts:

This link http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/mounts.htm doesn't give the mount diameters you asked for BUT it gives the mount registers (flange-to-film distances) you'll probably need if you're thinking about which lens can be adapted to which body.

 

M mount is usually interpreted as Leica M.

How do you define "diameter" in terms of a bayonet mount?

 

Here are a few, measured to the smaller of the 2 diameters of the bayonet (measured on the lens) (except for the Canon FD, which does have a clear circular opening):

 

Nikon: 43.4mm

 

Canon FD (diameter of the opening in the body): 48mm

 

Pentax K/M/A/AF: 44.7mm

 

Minolta MC/MD: 41.5mm

 

I don't have EF or Contax mounts to look at.
