luisarguelles
Hi all, I've uploaded some pictures taken this week with my new Konica Hexanon 50mm f/2 mounted on my M2. I've used Konica color film (normally I only use B&W) and with my Epson scanner it has produced some color casts. Since the pictures were taken only as a test, I have not tried to remove the color cast at all. The pictures themselves are from people at the company I work for. Two of them, I think to remember, were taken at f/2. Hope you like it!:
http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=362698
albert_smith
Luis' folder
I doubt that a real Summicron could have done better. Seems like f/2.0 with the Leica / Konica combo is no problem.
luisarguelles
Thanks for making the link easier to follow, Albert. I've just included two comments where full aperture was used. After this test I can say the Konica M-Hexanon is free from focusing or sharpness problems with my M2. Color rendition was really similar as my 50mm DR 'cron at f/4 - f/5.6. The pictures in the office were taken with extremely low contrast illumination.
christopher.
I have the same lens and love it. Can't see any reason to by a 50 cron when this lens can be had for less. The build quality is also second to none.
melvin_bressler
Hi: Good test shots, Luis. Everyone says the 50/2 Hexanon is a better buy than a similar 'Cron, except that I've been looking for one for six months and can't find any for sale. One was listed on this forum, and was gone before I could contact the seller, and one was listed by Adorama, and also gone before I could buy it. Anyway, enjoy the lens, Luis.
