shel_belinkoff2
Hi gang, I'm considering a pre-ASPH 35mm 'lux and was hoping to get a sense of what kind of results to expect, especially wrt light fall off and bokeh. Can anyone point me to a few photos made with this lens at wide open to f4.0 apertures? Thanks!
m_.
want to quickly show you a shot I took in an extremely low light condition with M6 and Summilux at f1.4 and 1/15 second.

joshroot
This must have been at f/1.4-2 since it was pretty dark where it was shot.
I'm almost 100% sure that I also saw a thread like this that I could direct you to in the archives. But of course I can't find it.

carey_russ
I traded in a current 35 Summicron ASPH for this lens. It's a little soft wide open, but only a little. Gives photos character ;-) Pretty much lives permanently on the M6TTL now. This was shot in a garage, wide open, with Provia 100.

shel_belinkoff2
Hi gang ... Thanks to all who forwarded photos. They've been quite helpful. It was suggested that I search the archives There were two posting about this : Joup Mes 7 March 2003 Andrew Lee 9 May 2003 for some past photos and information. Can someone tell me how to make such a search? Thanks!
m_.
Shel: I am not sure the proper way to search but what you can do is to search for the author's name by clicking "search" button on top left of this page (make sure you search photo.net only instead of entire google site). Once you are in the author's folder, look for all the posts he/she made and go back to the date posted.
joshroot
Shel, if I were looking for those threads. I would scroll down and click on the "Leica M Lenses" catagories. then use ctrl-f and punch in "summilux" which should scroll you down to every thread with Summilux in the title.
