thenuge
I just purchased a BUSLINK 40GB Disk-on-the-go Hard Drive for $110 (an hour ago) and I think that I might have made a mistake. I intend to use it to store digital images on an upcoming Mexico trip. I don't have a laptop so I will be computerless for two weeks. How would I use this portable without a laptop? Do they have self- powered, self contained portables that allow FlashCards to be loaded on them? I would REALLY appreciate any advice which would get me pointed in the right direction. e_lin
hahaha. you bought a portable hard drive for a computer, not a camera!!! thats not smart if im reading this right. how are u going to load pics on it? its not like you can upload from camera. you should have gotten a hard drive that connects to camera! Karim Ghantous
This *might* be a viable solution for you, an iPod with an accessory module that accepts certain memory cards: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=T7418LL/A
daniel_moore
This link will lead to a review of the latest solution to the computer-less digital photographer's need for storage. While you cannot review images on the device, you can play them later on a television (in all but the cheapest, sleaziest, time-forgotten motels : ). herman_hiel
If your camera takes some sort of card, you can buy card readers that read 6 different types of cards for less than 20$; they have a USB connection; if your Buslink has a USB connection, link the two and you're set! I just bought a HD with a card reader incorporated, but for more than double of what you paid for.
