e_lin
I was wondering if there are any places to trade-in cameras in the Dallas, Plano, Richardson area of Texas. I have a sony dsc-v1, but i feel that the camera is a bit to small and lacks a good grip. Do you think i can trade in my camera for a canon g5 or nikon 5400? I bought my camera for the original retail price plus a sony-brand battery for 50 dollars and a memory stick. I also like how on other cameras you can use compactflash. If trading is way too expensive, i don't think i would do it though. its not that big a deal.
todd frederick
My first digital camera was a Fuji 1300 (1.3mgp) which came free with my son's computer. When I went to a better camera, I gave the Fuji to a friend's son (who's 7 years old)...a great way for him to get started. I think low end digital cameras have very little trade or resale value. Why not give it to a friend, and just pay the full price for a new unit?
e_lin
hey!!! the sony is a prosumer camera that i bought for 700 bucks at bestbuy. not something im going to give away!!!! o wel. i decided to keep it because the image quality on the v1 is the same as canon g5 except WITHOUT the purple fringing. so its actually better. erb_duchenne
Except the grip is all wrong and you're unhappy with it? Sell it. Try forums, classifieds, eBay etc. the DSC-V1 isn't a cheap throw away camera. If it's a good price, someone will snap it up. The thing is to really try out the G5 or 5400 before buying, this time. I was going for the G5 myself, but the idea went out the window when they announced the 300D.
