50d-boy
Has anyone implemented this on their 300D's yet? "It increases the reliability of RemoteCapture application when the camera is used. It increases the reliability of operations when used on Windows XP and Mac OS X with [PTP] selected in [Communication]. " I don't use Remote Capture so I assume the question is moot. I can't say I've had any problems with Win XP Pro Communication either. Comments ? I think we are all waiting for Firmware Update 1.x.x that gives us FEC John Souleles
s._fisher
FEC on a Rebel... hehe... good one. =) Just glad that Canon doesn't have crippleware down to the science that Nikon does.
50d-boy
Crippleware indeed. Oh well, I'll just use my Speedlite 199A, or buy a 550EX. Besides the issue on my G2 was always too much exposure, where as the issue with the 300D is that the pop up is too anemic. Aren't there any hackers out there that have spent countless hours "cracking" firmware for obsure Cameras made Canon and Nikon? ;-) LOL
noah_s
I don't have the camera, so I couldn't try this, but this was suggested earlier at photozone.de. Worth a try maybe? http://camerasystems.info/showall.jsp?id=1037246A&forum=24305
