billkantor
It's a process lens. Same design as an Artar. What did you want to know?
michael_briggs2
As Bill says, the design is the same as the Artar. This is supposing that is is a late model Apo-Nikkor -- the early ones are said to be tessar designs. The Artar design is generically known as a dialyte -- it has four glass elements in four groups in a symmetrical arrangement. This lens was intended for the printing trade, before digital took over that industry. Lens for this purpose are called process lenses and the dialyte design is very common. A Nikon brochure that I have lists the coverage as 42 degrees or 1360 mm diameter at unity magnification (1:1). If the lens were instead focused at infinity, the distance from lens to film would be halved, and the coverage would be approximately halved.
