crackers_.
Oh, but it looks like the tree went through the back of the old compressor. Retake it tomorrow.
charles barcellona www.bl
Looks like a nice old oak Andy. Is there any hope the remaining tree is salvagable? Hope so.
chip l.
Sorry to hear of your problems with Isabel. I am in Northern Virginia, and count my self lucky. Only lost sleep as branches from a tree that I don't want to trim hit my balcony early Friday morn. And maybe being forced to work from home on Monday. Glad it seems that you and yours is safe. andrew_touchon
Charles : They are Bradford Pear Trees. I am sending them to tree heaven. Chip: Thanks for the kind words. We are OK. It is truly exciting driving in Virginia Beach with no traffic lights working.
doug herr
Glad to hear you're OK. I know this is quite a mess to clean up, since it's my primary outdoor activity each November after the winter's first big storm "trims" my neighbor's cottonwood tree. Casualties so far: a corner of the garage, the barn door, the roof of the aviary. There's nothing quite like the expectation of having 12" thick limbs falling from the sky. chip l.
Andy, In the DC area we also have a few traffic lights not working. Really amazing that people don't remember their drivers test, when the traffic lights not working - treat it as a four way stop. Not a test to see who is the "bravest". gerry_szarek
Here in New England we got rain and lots of it, other than that it was a bust. A few friends own places down on the NC coast (summer places) don't know if the structures survived. I'll take the snow any day of the Hurricanes / Tornadoes etc. BTW my chainsaw is electric.
