scott_ferris
Hi all, I am looking to get the ES-E1 software for the 1V, I have a Mac running OS X version 10.1.2. As the software does not run on OS X does anybody know if it loads and then works in the classic section of OS X or would I have to restart in OS 9. (The software I got with an S330 won't load in classic) Is it just me or do Canon seem to have abandoned development in the top level film user area? Why doesn't the 1V grip have the functionality of the 1D and 1DS either? Many thanks for any help,Scott. P.S. I thought this is an EOS question on balance, over to you Bill. sean1
as far as i know it only runs on windows. the specs on the canon site say windows 98. ack! i never bothered with it since i'm getting ready to switch from windows to a mac. if they make a version for the mac, it might be worth considering.

8)
sean
scott_ferris
Sean, On the most recent version (not that recent) it is advertised as Mac compatable but only in OS 9. It states this on the front of the box . I believe you can also get an update over the internet to upgrade to the most recent spec if you have an earlier version. But I have not seen any mention of OS X anywhere! Many thanks for your interest, you can 100% run ES-E1 on Macs but I think we are handicaped to OS 9. Take care, Scott.
