jamie drouin Posted August 11, 2003 Share Posted August 11, 2003 I'm looking for a lab in Vancouver or Victoria that specializes in exhibition quality digital printing, especially Fuji Frontier work over 11x14. Can anyone recommend a place that is concerned with very high quality archival production?

Thanks! www.graemehird.com Posted August 11, 2003 Share Posted August 11, 2003 Jamie,
Although I'm not answering your exact question, can I suggest you search beyond your immediate geographic area for the prints you are after? The internet has made the world much smaller, and you can now choose the printer you want from anywhere.
I get my prints done by Pixel Perfect in Sydney, Australia, even though I live 3,500 km from them. They will take your order from anywhere in the world, and your perfect digital prints will be sent to you in less than a week. The lab has complete colour management, so you know what you will get back if your computer is calibrated correctly. Check them out.
Graeme Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jimvanson Posted August 12, 2003 Share Posted August 12, 2003 Jamie...I'm from Vancouver. I have no high end digital archival requirements thus I do not have any experience or opinions in those areas (that was my disclaimer clause). I have been watching to see what suggestions you'd get. Well not very many so I'll steer you to two locations that may be able to help you. Both are web-savvy and well thought of so I expect that if they can't be of help they will refer you to someone with the expertise you require. The two I can think of are;
The Lab
Gamma
If they can help, please let me know as I can then refer others to them.
