When are you going to give us specific instructions regarding where we should send our photos for the contest. Do we send them to this forum, or to your mail box? How many can I send and when can I start sending?

Roger, when it comes to submissions could you ask people to limit the filesizes to

less than 80 KB per image?

 

I have a bad feeling that there will be a lot of newbies flooding photo.net with small

WxH images with huge (200 KB++) filesizes because they don't know how to use - or

have never even heard of - JPEG compression.

i am trying to work out the best way to do a mass posting. the

reason for the delay is so that film people can process and scan.

i will be sure to tell people how to go about posting far in

advance of the 7th.

 

as for cheating, who cares. the original plan was for a time

limited assignment. we wanted to use new pics for obvious

reasons: people have an archive of decades of film negatives to

cull. most people only have a small archive of digital shots. we

wanted to level the playing field.

 

anyway, do what you like, all guideloines are just

recommendations.
