david_valle
I want to take professional standard photos of jewellery. I'm thinking about buying the Canon 10D. Does anyone have an opinion on that? Secondly, I will need to buy a macro lens and the lens will have to go 15cm close to the subject because I have a light box. Any recommendations for this? blueviews
The Canon 100 mm macro is one of their sharpest lenses and should get you good working distance.
mikemilton
My opinion (as a d30 and 10D owned (and EOS3, btw) is that this is a really good idea. You cna 'work' the shot you want and not spend a lot on film. If you are working with small pieces, consider the MPE-65mm (I have one, and it is a treat to use). Otherwise, wither the 100mm (already suggested) or an extension tube might be preferable m
