shinden
Unlike my first folder on Tibet, Cabo verde has been a 6 year project done on no assigment but for pure pleasure. When I first visited the islands in 1997 I knew I was hooked and destined to return every successive year. It would be hard for me to give reason full reason, but as I am mainly interested in people I found the right kind of them on these desert like islands. I felt I had to learn the Capverdian Creol to move and communicate more freely. As there are more Capverdians in emigration than on the islands I traveled to find them around Boston, in Holland and Belgium,Senegal and Switzerland. And I am still on my way to find out more about them. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=334889

andrew_lee2
Whether you realize it or not, your name has been invoked in this place before:
Ladislav Drezdowicz's new website
Been a big fan of the Cabo Verde series since your web site proper first went public.
And, I am not too man enough to admit, for this fledgling photographer an influence on my own recent work in my first trip to the Dominican Republic. Thanks.

jerry_lehrer
Very, very few of us are in the same league as Lasislav. Some of us may try, but he is clearly an order of magnitude better. Jerry
tony_rocha
Ladislav, what can I say. Every time I visit your website it is awe inspiring. I really love the way you see things and capture the spirit. By the way your photo of the monks is hanging in my office and is a daily inspiration for me. Thank you for sharing.
