mario_mab
Hello`, I have been reading many posts about this camera that interest me very much. I understand that the Fuji GX680III has new battery system, I don't understand where the battery is located; is the battery integrated into the body (like normally every camera does) or needs to be carried separately? Thanks for help.
donaldc
The 3V lithium batteries (2 I think...sold my GXIII a few years back...) go inside the body ~and~ the AA alkaline adapter clips on the outside of the body, like the old nicad on the first two models. patrick_murphy_racey1
There are actually three lithium batteries inside the bottom cover on the underneath of the III body. A fresh set of Lithiums will yield around 3,000 exposures. The AA battery pack holds 6 batteries. When it is attached to the body, a switch is thrown cutting off all power draw from the internal lithium batteries inside the body. By running this way, you have a "reserve tank" in that when the AA's die, you simply remove the AA pack from the left side of the body, the switch comes back out, and you can finish the job without a hitch using the lithiums.
