henry_ting2
Amazingly this could happen caused by a a big mail order outfit. Link

I wouldn't take such advantage, but exercised the "buy it now" option to end the auction, saving them the misery. I will followup with a email telling them. My guess is some "disgrunted" employee trying to get even.

jackflesher
I suspect it was a typo instead. take the lens and run. You won it fair and square. GOod buy, BTW :)
henry_ting2
No Jack. Besides, I'm getting rid of my Leica R system. I don't think its a typo either. Even $200 for "BIN" option is low.
george_shihanian
I see that Adorama has another aucton using the same photos of that lens, and the BIN price is $549. Strange, because this action has been going on for 8 days...
al_kaplan1
It even says shpping for the item is $1.00! $3.00 total is a mighty nice price, even for a lens that fits nothing I own. Makes it easy to resell at a profit, doesn't it.
stephen_w.
Some disorganized auction dept. They show pix of a Mamiya 90 for a Leica 28 auction. They deserve to pay the price for their errors.
henry_ting2
I haven't written to them yet with the expectation that they will email me regarding the error. However, ironically I received a totally different mail telling me the payment options and amount totalling $2.00 + shipping & insurance. Weird indeed and I wouldn't think its a system generated automated email.
stephen_w.
Just buy the thing, and by the way: it's Boo Boo.
jerry_lehrer
Henry Adorama has NEVER been known for their probity. Just give them their money and take the lens. Jerry
doug herr
Suppose Adorama says Henry bought a different item, that they had the wrong pictures on the auction?
stephen_w.
Send the $3 and see what you get.
bishop_vc
It seems you're not the only lucky one. Check this out.
Regards,
Steve
a m
At least 4 of the auctions that ended Sep 11 and 18 show the exact same lens that Mr. Ting just bought for $2. What are they really selling at Adorama?
henry_ting2
As I said, it must be an act of a disgruntled employee. BTW, I emailed them regarding this problem. Can't help them if there are multiple listings with others using the BIN option. I'm sure the others will pursue it and I wonder how the hack they can get out of this mess.
