brambor
I have a nice 57mm 1.2 hexanon lens from konica. - was wondering it there is an adapter to use hexanon lenses on EOS bodies?
oliver_s.
A machinist might be able to make an adapter; afaik none is commercially available as the Konica system (systems?) wasn't that popular. But, if I read the data in this list of flange to film plane distances correctly, you wouldn't get infinity focus. ron c sunshine coast, qld,a
There is indeed no adapter avaiable.I have modified a hexanon lens for use on eos but it required the shortening of the lens chassis and screwing an eos mount to it.
To determine if this is possible with your lens you will have to measure everything and see if the rear lens element will foul the mirror, and wether the aperture ring and any other parts at the rear will have to be modified.Mine had no problem with mirror clearance as it's a long lens and the aperture ring needed slight modification only-any linkages, etc were not effected.Obviously it's something that one would only consider for a good lens, and it is permenant.A 57/1.2 sounds like a beaut.well worth attempting IMO!
