I use a Pentax 645 with 75mm and 150mm lenses, if the shutter

speed is lees then about 250 then I generally get a lot of shake.

Even at the fast speeds I get some blur, The only way to get a sharp

image is by the use of a tripod. Is this general experience with the

p645 or is a problem with my camera. Or the other option am I just

not good with this camera. I love the camera when using this with a

tripod, but unfortunately, when I use this camera I generally do not

want to use a tripod.

-I am not new to photography, and have used many cameras before,

with out this problem, I have used many 35mm cameras and a few other

120mm cams but they have been tlrs or range finders.

Eric...I handheld my p645n for all my shots. I don't believe I'm all that steady yet I have no problem with using say my 150 f2.8 at 1/125. My 45mm has given me sharp 11x14's at 1/60...consistantly.

As a user of the 645, seems as if it is more sensitive to your method of depressing the shutter release button. I get "not so sharp" shots when I'm in a hurry. My father was a gunnery instructor, and when he taught me to shoot (can apply to photography), slowly exhale 3/4 of your breath before squeezing the trigger. The 645 primes take sharp images.
