steven_clark
From the looks of it it's a cheap consumer zoom designed to be zoomed with buttons rather than manually. Canon made a few years back, but they weren't much of a success so they took them off the market.
willie_ju1
That's the kit lens that was sold with the EOS 700 in the early 90's. It's autofocus only. The power zoom grinds in and out like a point-and-shoot zoom. Its worth is less than the end caps. An utter piece of s**t. Forget about it. phule
A quick scroll through the Canon Camera Museum finds your lens:
http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/lens/ef/data/ef_35~80_4~56pz.html
mr_jingle
Thanks to all the forum and don't worry, I'm very happy with my 28-105 and don't want to by that piece of plastic. MrJ

citizensmith1664875108
Man I'm completley the other way round. Now if I saw one of those again I'd snap it up just because it is so different. Probably never use it, but it'd be a neat lens to have around. Maybe try and find an EF-M body to stick it on. :)
