apershin
I am planning to buy a tripod collar for my 70-200/f4 L. With my BP300 battery pack on, will the collar fit? I mean will I be able to mount it on the head? (I have Manfrotto 486RC2 head => Bogen code 3413QR) I am afraid the pack will block the ring when in horizontal postion. Thanks! edvan22
Hmmmm, I almost have the same setup only with a Sigma 70-200 2.8 instead. I am able to turn the collar around so the collar is flush against the BP-300 and it works just fine. It's won't fit is I mount the ring the "proper" direction. Your results may vary with the canon lens.
gerry_szarek
Alex, if you need a new ring contact me at gszarek%hotmail.com replace the % with an @ sign. You will need to send me the current collar, I will then make you a new one with a longer neck. What's in it for me, First you will test my NEW part, Second I will sell the new part to other canon users. ThanksGerry
PuppyDigs
The BP-300 and Tripod Ring A mounted on an EF 70-200 4L USM work fine--they don't touch. However, the BP-300 may not clear some tripod heads when the ring is mounted on the head, especially tall heads with quick release plates. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
