BernardMiller
This is an old thread, but in case someone accesses it looking for Leica gear, I'd like to put in a plug for a place that isn't widely known, but is worth a trip: if you don't mind venturing down to Croydon, High Street Radio is definitely not a wasted voyage. Don't let the name throw you. Reg Roach has been selling Leica gear from this spot for nearly half a century. You can find 'em online at http://www.croydonphotocentre.co.uk/ Saturdays are great, as the eccentric cast of regulars quite often assembles for a cup of coffee and wide-ranging discourse. Reg does sell new Leica gear, and he's got quite a bit of used stuff. Plus loads of the little odd bits the Leicaphile (and afficionados of other brands) quite often needs but just can't find elsewhere. Reg and his son Paul, who helps run the business, are very honest and willing to entertain reasonable offers. Give 'em a look! (P.S. - I have also purchased with satisfaction from Aperture - I'm posting this from the cafe, which I frequent, as it's a very pleasant place for the camera lover - and while I haven't bought from him yet, I have enjoyed a couple of visits to Ivor at Red Dot. He's got lots of nice gear at good prices, and he's happy to let you have a close look at it and chat with you about it.)
