d._p.1
hello - <br><br>Interested in the C/V 35 2.0 pancake, the salesperson in the shop tells me my m2 <i>"might need its rangefinder adjusted in order to focus accurately with the V/C lens". </i> Is this true? Sounds ridiculous, if the adaptor ring is o.k. At present, the rangefinder is perfect. Salesperson couldn't tell whether i should readjust it back when i want to put the 50 back on. Didn't find anything on these pages so i guess it's just rubbish, but please correct me if i'm wrong.<br><br>cheers,
Alex_Es
This is absolute nonsense. Consider this. Contax and Nikon S mounts have a compatability problem but you can use a 35/2.5 on both with no problem. A 35/2.5 LTM with adapter on an M2 would be no problem. A friend of mine adjusted one of his M6s for the V/C 35/1.2 and says it makes a substancial difference.
peter_n1664876959
Assume you mean the 35/2.5 P. FWIW, I have tested a new CV 35/2.5 pancake at closest focus and at infinity (church steeple from a hill ~2 miles away) on an M6TTL. Both were perfect. Screw mount to M adapter was a Voigtlander. The lens is a cracker.
cameron_sawyer
I use various VC lenses on an M6TTL, including the 35/2.5 pancake. Rangefinder compatibility is 100%. That pancake is a very nice lens.
d._p.1
thanks! yes i meant the 35/2.5. I sort of promised myself to stick with the (42 year old) 50/2.0 but the tempting outer framelines in the viewfinder (AND all the good reviews here) made me change my mind... peter_n1664876959
The 35mm/f2.5 P has been discontinued by CV. I believe the last date of manufacture was April 2003.
