jschweigl Posted June 10, 2003 Share Posted June 10, 2003 Hi all, I just received my Summicron DR, really nice condition. A little bit of dust, but everything else is fine. Mounted it on my M3 and noticed that horizontal lines in the rangefinder patch have a ghost image. Without the goggles, a line is a line. Is this caused by the goggles' optics? As focusing is done with verticals anyway, I'm not scared by this, but I thought I'd ask ... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IMHO nothing to be concerned about. I had mine cleaned and recoated by John Van Stelton two years ago. It cost me about $235.00. Enjoy your great "new" lens.
