oded_liran
Hello Everyone !! I have a question regarding my MZ-50 Pentax .. I want to shoot picture in manual lenses ( one that doesn't work with the light detector) .. My friend has a Minolta Reflex Camera on which when pressing several buttons the Camera becomes absolutely Manual , thus he can work with that kind of lenses (ie. Tele ...) So my question is : Can I do the same thing with my Reflex MZ-50 ? Thank you in Advance,
jimvanson
Oded...half way down this page is the download for a ZX-50 Manual. The MZ-50 and ZX-50 are the same camera. I'm sure that you'll find the awnser in that manual.
tony_peri
To use the Pentax MZ-50 in manual (with a manual lens) switch the dial on top left of camera to 'M'. Then you turn the aperture ring on the lens to the aperture you want and move the toggle switch on the top right to adjust the shutter speed. If using a more modern lens with an auto aperture setting ('A') you have to unlock this on the lens and move the aperture ring to 8, 11 etc. to use in manual.
