armando_roldan
I view another photo website, dedicated to "pro" sports photographers and nobody can ask questions or post photos unless they are $25 paying members. By being a member you can post up to 8-10 photos of your work and place for sale ads. Personally ,this Nikon Forum is a great since its basically free and you don't to proclaim yourself as a "pro". I do find the other website amusing but lately its become a fraternity of smug newspaper photos that whine about everything from per deim lunch vouchers to being unable to secure the 400mm f2.8 AF-S from the newspaper equipment pool to shoot a high school baseball game night and having to suffer using a F5 or D1x instead of the Canon digital. Here you can ask questions, post photos, sell equipment and generally have a good time for free but optioning to spend $25 will help in the cost of maintaining this site for thousands, if not tens of thousands of people worldwide that have a interest in Nikon photographing and all types of photography. jason michael
Eric, Basically the Nikon forum led me to subscribe to Photo.net...I find a real sense of community here. Recently I've also been loving the B&W Film and Developing forum. Overall I've been very happy with Photo.net and I'm still discovering areas and services of Photo.net. Sincerely,
