Anyone here owns a Schneider 14" Dagor made by Kern?

Kern Dagors are very highly regarded - coated, supposed to be better centered etc (although most of this information is anecdotal). Coverage is reported to be smaller than earlier versions - earlier versions of the 14" would cover 12x20 but the Kern Dagor 14" probably only makes 7x17. I have heard there were two production runs - the first being single coated and the second multi-coated (although the Dagor has so little flare to begin with that even single coating gives superb contrast). Cheers, DJ

Hi Per. I just got one too. Haven't made an image yet. Out at work we have 8 Cinetheodolites made by Contraves of Switzerland and they have Kern optics. 150CM mirrors. They can make images on 35mm 1/3 frame that are then magnified about 30 times for data reduction. What does that have to do with your question?? Nothing really. I'm hoping the 14" Kern will squeak around 820 but it sounds like perhaps it will not.
