Hasselblad & Billingham large Hadley

I own a 500 C/M, a 553 ELX, an 80mm and a 160mm lens, a Metz 45

flash, a PM45 prism, 2 backs and a polaroid 100 back. I would like to

pack one body (not both) with the prism attached plus the rest of the

stuff in a Billingham large Hadley.

Does anyone know if this will fit? Preferably with 1 of the lenses

attached to the body. There are no shops around here that have the

bag so I can try so I have to get it through mail order. It would not

be a problem if the 553 elx won't fit because it will be my camera

bag while I am travelling and I think the ELX is a bit too heavy for

the kind of travel I usually do.

Thanks for your answers, Frank

I appreciate that you will have problems actually trying out a Billingham but I wouldn't buy one unseen unless you can get some kind of 'sale or return' agreement.

I own two Billingham bags and like them a lot but the partitioning in Billinghams can be quirky and you really need to try your own gear in the bag to be sure it will fit. I'm not trying to be negative here but I got my second bag dirt cheap because the previous owner didn't try before he bought and found the bag just didn't suit his kit. Luckily, it fits mine just fine :-)

Franck,

I currently put the following stuff in my Hadley wich is only a regular size :

> in the central compartment : a 203FE body + E12 back + CF100 + a CFE50 lens hood with a Hasselblad adaptation ring to adapt it on my Distagon CF60,

> in the right compartment : a Distagon CF60 and, top of it, a Hasselblad 1.4x converter + a 77mm Nikon circular polar filter with its hood OR another Hasselblad E12 back, depending on my needs

> in the left compartment : a Sonnar FE150 topped with a CF100/250 lens hood (I had a special stepdown ring machined to fit this shade either on my CF100 or on my FE150).

> In the front pockets, I put my films packs and little accessories.

The whole bag weights no more than 5kg and is light enough to meet the new requirements of some airline companies for cabin luggage.

IMO, you should probably give up the prism but all the rest could take place inside a Hadley (subject to checking the Metz 45 height!).

Hope this help
