bill_goldman
I have just purchased the ES-E1 Link Software for my EOS-1V and everything seems to work ok except I cannot display thumbnail views for downloaded data from camera. The version of the software I purchased is Version 1.20 and I have updated to 1.30 from Canon's website. I am running Windows XP home version. The data I downloaded for previously shot rolls displays fine but in the thumbnail view I see only blank boxes. I updated the camera's date/time to the current date/time. Previously data shows default date/times. Any help will be appreciated.
colin_fieldgate
I am sure you realise that the EOS-1v is a film camera and therefore cannot produce digital thumbnails of the pictures taken directly. The thumbnail feature is so you can associate a scanned image (i.e. from film) with the data stored by the camera for a given shot e.g. aperture, shutter speed etc. Therfore, until you associate an image with the "thunbnail" it will appear blank. bill_goldman
Thanx, Colin. The instruction manual was not very clear on that point.
colin_fieldgate
Bill, Agreed. In fact the whole package is somewhat over-priced and under-featured. I bought it half-price, but still feel it's not a bargain.
